Winningtemp is a revolutionary technology developed to create prosperous and healthy workplaces. The company of the same name was founded in Sweden in 2014 by Mathias Hansson Fredlund och Pierre Lindmark, combining their comprehensive experience and expertise within IT and human resources respectively.

During a decade of working with Rapid Learning in knowledge-based organisations, Pierre Lindmark experienced the need to collect human resources data in a more reliable and accurate way. He discussed the possibilities with his friend Mathias Hansson Fredlund, an experienced manager in the software industry.
Together they developed a solution for “the real-time visualisation of individual progress and how this is linked to the progress of the organisation.” The solution was named Winningtemp, short for “winning temperature.” It’s all about reaching and maintaining the optimal temperature for a healthy organisation.
In October 2014, Winningtemp was awarded an innovation grant from the Swedish state, which made it possible to start developing the product. In spring 2016, a new milestone was reached for Winningtemp when external investors put funds into the company and it became partly state-owned via ALMI Invest. The other investors include Chalmers Ventures, the entrepreneur and mentor Alexander Hars and private investors.
Alexander Hars has solid experience of building up successful companies. In 2002, Alexander Hars and Lars Karlsson started System OK. The company became a resounding success and only four years after starting up, it was sold to Roxio who are quoted on Nasdaq. After working in Silicon Valley for a couple of years, the pair returned to Gothenburg and in 2010 started up the company Let’s deal. In record time, just two years later, the company’s annual revenues reached SEK 100 million and Let’s deal was being used by one in eight Swedes. In 2015, Schibsted Media Group bought the company and later that year Alexander Hars stepped down as managing director. He now devotes his time to his duties as a member of the boards of companies such as Football Addicts, Servicefinder and Zalster.
Patrik is investment manager at Almi Invest, Sweden’s most active venture capitalist investing in start-ups. For the last 20 years, Patrik has worked predominantly in small businesses and smaller corporations as a project manager, managing director and chief operating officer. He also has 10 years’ experience as a board member. Before starting at Almi Invest, he was chief operating officer of a start-up company working on the international market with products and support services aimed at improving the competence and knowhow of health care professionals. One of the company’s innovations was the introduction of the world’s first ‘flight simulator’ for medical staff aimed at training the whole medical team working in operating theatres.
Marcus Bäcklund has almost 20 years’ experience as an entrepreneur and venture capitalist. In 2001, he founded the private equity company Deseven Capital in Stockholm, Sweden. Since then, Deseven has invested in a large number of start-up companies and companies in the early growth phase, launched several companies onto the stock exchange and raised just over SEK 250 million in venture capital. He has a degree in civil engineering from Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Mathias Hansson Fredlund has more than 10 years experience of product management and system development. He has wide experience of working with complex operational systems and implementing them within large organisations. Mathias took a bachelor’s degree in system development and went on to take a master’s degree in Entertainment Design at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Mathias is passionate about how technology can be used in management in order to increase motivation and satisfaction within an organisation.
Hans has worked in IT since 1984. He has worked with sales, project management, development and production in companies such as HP, Volvo, Electrolux, Dassault Systems and Fujitsu Services. His positions have included sales representative, sales manager, management consultant, managing director as well as line manager for IT organisations.
All this has contributed to his deep experience of managing change and taking advantage of opportunities when implementing new technology.
Stephan Philipson has wide experience of sales and marketing. For 20 years, he worked as the marketing manager for the Swedish company Astra Tech working with medical technology. During this period, he worked with the launch of several innovative and revolutionary product concepts aimed at both the Swedish and international health care market.
Stephan also has long experience of working with business-to-business marketing in different branches. He is a sought-after and much appreciated speaker who also conducts courses within subjects such as strategic sales and marketing communication.
Ahtesham has held a number of management positions and worked as a management consultant and project manager achieving some noteworthy business results. During the last 15 years, he has completed a number of international assignments as managing director, product director and director of business development working in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Poland, the Baltic states and Iceland. His efforts have led to the growth in the capital value of a range of different companies, both large and small.
He has a reputation for his strategic insights and ability to manage change. His qualifications include an MBA from the Henley Business School in the UK.
Kristina Elliot has long experience within management and human relations (HR) working both as a management consultant and as an employee in senior positions for more than 20 years. She has worked in various branches: pharmaceuticals, cars, retail, finance, mining, insurance, IT, the public sector and federations. She has been responsible for business development programmes at, among other companies, GE Healthcare, Volvo, Vattenfall, Nordea, Handelsbanken and Telia. She has been director or head of HR at, among other companies, Coop, MediaMarkt, Dina Försäkringar, CareFusion and Atlas Copco and has also been deputy managing director/regional manager within the building trade.
Anna Höglund trained in personnel management at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden and at the University of Newcastle in Australia. Today she is a partner and what she calls a “Why Director” at SeeSharp in Sweden. Her involvement at Winningtemp is foundational work in the area of values. Anna works within recruitment, career guidance and coaching as well as business development.
